The Grass Is Always Greener...

It has been so hot here that I assure the grass inside our house is much greener than the grass outside, which is nearly D.E.A.D! We just don't have the time to be out there watering every night. This little terrarium vignette seems to make up for it, for the time being anyway. Today was the first day of summer school. This may sound crazy, but I love summer school! It is so much more relaxed. With half days and one month's worth of learning and fun. I have the sweetest little four year olds this summer. Nine of them, to be exact. I wish I could show you all their sweet faces. They are so smart and so sweet!! I think I'm really going to love teaching them! Thank goodness for summer...

You are so creative and inspiring! All of your little creations inspire me to want to create, but that is about as far as it gets! The boys and I just did our yearly cleaning of our garage and so many items in there made me think of you and what you might create with them! I am more of the clean up and display type! I found an old milk jug and an old lantern that I finally dusted off and put out (I love to sit back and admire "aged" (as you call it) items and think about the places they have been and seen). You go MANY steps beyond me and create something from them! I admire you for that! Anyway, I love the rustic look they give to the outside of my garage instead of being hung or packed away in a corner somewhere! They take away from our "needin to be painted" or sided house. I just really kind of like the rough look of a house that needs to be painted and can't see paying all the money to have the house sided right now when we just did that a couple years ago on our last house!:) So, I guess I will look at it as "aged" right now to give it that sort of creative touch!

I always thought I was an early eucation person, but I don't think I could go back to those little ones. I love having the older kids who can wipe their own noses! I love the half days too! :)
